Meet Our Therapists

Ashley Darling is the founder and director of New Day Counseling Services. She holds her Masters of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University and is licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. She has also been licensed as a Nurse with the state of Ohio since 2006.


Ashley specializes in Narcissistic Abuse, Narcissistic Trauma, and Narcissistic relationships, and she works with a client-centered approach that makes therapy a collaborative process between herself and her clients. She also works with a range of other mental health concerns, using a warm, directive, and authentic style, she creates a safe and supportive environment that encourages clients to gain insight and restore balance. She empowers clients to reach their goals and make lasting changes by building on their strengths.

Ashley believes that choosing to begin therapy requires courage, and she’s confident in her ability to help clients find a path through even the most challenging situations. By working together, she draws upon each client’s unique strengths to guide them toward optimum health and well-being.

When Ashley is not in the office, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their two children. You can often find her curled up with a good book or traveling to cheer on her kids at their sporting events. Family, adventure, and personal growth are at the heart of everything she does—both in and outside of therapy.

Allison Suhovecky, LISW

We're thrilled to partner with Allison Suhovecky to bring her specialized expertise to the New Day Counseling community through virtual sessions. Allison has a Master’s of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University and is licensed as a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Ohio and Florida.

Allison specializes in domestic violence, trauma, ADHD, anxiety, and the lasting impact of overwhelming or harmful experiences. She believes the therapeutic relationship itself is a powerful part of the healing process. She provides a welcoming and empowering space to explore their experiences with curiosity rather than judgment. All therapy sessions are conducted virtually, allowing clients to engage in care from a space that feels safe and accessible to them.
